Stage 1. Usability Audit

Conducted a comprehensive usability audit of the existing app interface to identify pain points and areas for improvement. This involved analysing user flows, navigation, and overall user experience, focusing on ease of use, accessibility, and alignment with user needs. Insights gathered were used to inform design decisions and ensure an intuitive, frictionless experience.

Stage 2. Design Strategy

Developed a design strategy focused on user-centered principles, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience. The strategy prioritised clarity, accessibility, and cultural relevance while aligning with Muzz’s brand values. Key goals included improving user engagement, enhancing interaction flow, and creating a visually appealing interface.

Stage 3. Prototype Development

  • Wire-framing: In the wire-framing stage, I created low-fidelity sketches and wireframes to map out the core structure and layout of the speed dating feature. This process focused on defining key interactions, user flows, and the overall layout to ensure a clear, intuitive user experience. Feedback from stakeholders and usability insights were incorporated to refine the structure and ensure it met both user needs and business goals.

  • High-Fidelity Prototyping: Once the wireframes were validated, I progressed to high-fidelity prototyping. Using Figma, I built interactive prototype that closely resembled the final product in terms of visuals and interactions. This stage allowed for testing user flows, animations, and transitions in a more realistic environment. I collaborated closely with the development team to ensure technical feasibility while preserving design integrity.

  • User Interface Design: For the user interface design, I focused on creating a visually engaging aesthetic that aligned with Muzz’s brand identity. This involved selecting colour schemes, typography, and iconography that resonated with the target audience. I ensured the interface was both modern and accessible, optimizing for ease of use across different devices and screen sizes. The final design emphasized clarity, simplicity, and a seamless user experience.

Stage 4. User Feedback & Refinement

After the initial prototype was developed, I conducted user testing sessions to gather feedback on usability, interactions, and overall satisfaction. Insights from real users helped identify pain points and areas for improvement. Based on this feedback, I iterated on the design, refining elements such as navigation flow, visual hierarchy, and accessibility features to enhance the user experience and ensure alignment with user needs.
